Open Positions at XGuru

We are looking for a hands-on Marketing Intern who can take content from idea to publication. You should be comfortable creating social posts, editing short-form content, writing clear copy, and working consistently from a content calendar.

Eligibility: You must be a final-year student or a graduate.

Skills We Need

  • Ability to design clean social posts and carousels using Canva, Figma, or similar tools
  • Basic Reel and short-form video editing: captions, cuts, music, simple motion
  • Clear caption writing, proofreading, and basic content research
  • Working knowledge of Instagram, LinkedIn, content formats, hooks, and platform trends
  • Content strategy: knowing what to post, why, and how it supports a goal, not just execution
  • Trend and competitor research, turned into fresh content ideas
  • Analytics and performance tracking: reach, engagement, retention, and what's actually working
  • Comfort using AI marketing tools for ideation, copywriting, and creative production
  • Influencer and UGC outreach: finding and coordinating with creators for collaborations
  • Community management: comments, DMs, and day-to-day engagement across platforms
  • Ability to run a content calendar, repurpose one idea across formats, and follow a brief through to final upload
  • Ability to meet deadlines and improve work from feedback
Portfolio: previous internships are not required. Share social posts, carousels, edited videos, college work, freelance work, or self-made samples that show what you can create.

What You'll Get

  • Hands-on experience in content production and campaign execution
  • Direct feedback from the founding team
  • Portfolio-worthy creative work with measurable outcomes
  • Potential for a longer-term opportunity based on performance

We are looking for a Video Editor with strong short-form instincts and a good eye for motion. You should be able to turn a brief and raw footage into polished social videos, motion-graphics ads, and clear visual stories.

Intern eligibility: You must be a final-year student or a graduate.

Skills We Need

  • A portfolio showing short-form editing and motion graphics
  • Good command of Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent tools
  • Strong sense of pacing, storytelling, typography, sound design, and visual hierarchy
  • Ability to create motion-graphics ads, animated titles, transitions, and simple compositing
  • Understanding of short-form hooks, viewer retention, and platform-native editing, with clean exports for 9:16, 1:1, and 16:9
  • Reliable project-file organisation, turnaround, and response to feedback

What You'll Get

  • Creative ownership across real social and marketing campaigns
  • Direct collaboration with the founding and marketing teams
  • Portfolio work across motion graphics, ads, product, and brand storytelling
  • Potential for a longer-term association based on performance
For Freelancers: we're looking for an ongoing monthly partner, not one-off editing. Commercials will depend on agreed output, complexity, and turnaround time. A relevant portfolio is required.

We are looking for an applied AI engineer who can build reliable LLM-backed systems, not just prompt consumer tools. You should understand how data moves through retrieval, generation, validation, evaluation, and production APIs.

Skills We Need

  • Strong Python fundamentals and comfort working with APIs and JSON
  • Practical experience with RAG: embeddings, chunking, indexing, retrieval, reranking, and citations
  • Ability to work with SQL/PostgreSQL, backend services, and data pipelines
  • Understanding of structured outputs, schema validation, testing, and failure handling
  • Ability to evaluate retrieval quality, hallucinations, latency, and cost, and apply basic guardrails and human review
  • Git/GitHub familiarity and the ability to document your work clearly
  • At least one working AI project you can demonstrate and explain end to end

Good to Have

  • FastAPI and JavaScript / TypeScript
  • Supabase, PostgreSQL, pgvector, Qdrant, Pinecone, or a similar retrieval stack
  • LLM evaluation, observability, prompt/version management, and cost tracking
  • Docker and basic cloud deployment

What You'll Get

  • Ownership of applied AI prototypes used in a real product environment
  • Real experience with retrieval, matching, structured data, evaluation, and safety
  • Direct product feedback from the founding and engineering teams
  • Potential for a longer-term technical opportunity based on performance
Who should apply: you do not need years of professional experience, but you must have built something that works. Be ready to explain the data flow, retrieval logic, evaluation method, failure cases, and trade-offs. Experience limited to using consumer AI tools or completing introductory coursework is not sufficient.

We are looking for a practical full-stack engineer who can turn a focused requirement into secure, tested, working software. You should be comfortable moving between the interface, API, database, and deployment when a task requires it.

Skills We Need

  • Good JavaScript / TypeScript and programming fundamentals
  • Practical experience with React / Next.js and Node.js APIs
  • Comfort with SQL, relational data modelling, HTTP, and REST APIs
  • Git/GitHub familiarity and a sensible debugging process
  • Understanding of authentication, permissions, validation, and basic web security, with the discipline to test, log, and deploy reliable changes
  • At least one working web application you can demonstrate
  • Ability to take a focused requirement, ask questions, and ship a tested result

Good to Have

  • Supabase and PostgreSQL
  • Python / FastAPI
  • Vercel, Docker, or basic CI/CD
  • Hosted LLM API and structured-output integrations
  • Testing, monitoring, and application-security basics

What You'll Get

  • Focused ownership of software that can reach a live product
  • Experience across frontend, backend, data, and hosted API integration
  • Direct feedback from the founding and engineering teams
  • Potential to grow with XGuru as the engineering team expands
Who should apply: we care more about working software than a long list of certificates. GitHub projects, deployed applications, hackathon work, internships, and freelance projects are all valid evidence. You do not need to know every tool listed above.
